In 1989, Robert W. Bridges, Jr. started designing and drawing house plans on a computer in his dining room when CAD was just in it’s infancy. Born and raised in Wake Forest, North Carolina, he’d always had a knack for drawing and an eye for detail. This led him through a couple semesters of college before graduating from Wake Technical Community College with a degree in Architecture. After a short tenure with a local engineering firm, he then founded South Designs. With a passion for design and a commitment to provide the best service possible, it is still as important today as it was almost 30 years ago to meet and exceed every client’s expectation.

Community Planning:
Throughout the years, we have been assisting builders and developers with community and site planning. Before the first bit of asphalt is laid we will discuss your community needs and any design criteria you would like to adhere to. Once we have developed a direction or theme, we can begin to design product that will help achieve your goals! From twelve to more than two hundred lots, we can put into motion a plan that will allow you to choose from multiple designs with multiple elevations that will ultimately result in a community worthy of admiration!
